SLSA Awards of Excellence will be held at The Westin Hotel, Martin Place, Sydney. There will be over 250 in attendance at Surf Life Saving Australia’s prestigious SLSA Awards of Excellence to celebrate and acknowledge the contribution of our members and the movement during the 2011/12 season. All nominees as well as winners for the 9 recognition awards will be recognised on the evening, including the Club, Volunteer and Lifesaver of the Year. There will be new inductees into the SLSA Hall of Fame, newly appointed Life Members, as well as those honoured for going beyond the call of duty in the surf. Applications are now open for the 2013 National Leadership College, one of the highlights of SLSA’s annual calendar. If you see yourself as an upcoming leader in surf lifesaving and you are aged 20-30, then this program is for you. The college is held over 6 days and covers a broad range of leadership topics and how these can be applied to grass roots surf life saving. This is delivered through a combination of inspiring keynote speakers, interactive facilitator led workshops, challenging activities and an opportunity to network with other passionate people.
